Wakeup Someplace Special In summer months Lake Scugog offers pleasure boating, water skiing, swimming and some of the best fishing is southern Ontario. Lake Scugog - part of the Trent-Severn Waterway - is the most southern part of the Kawartha chain of lakes. Several excellent marinas all around Lake Scugog shores.
I For the golfer, there are a number of golf courses and a golf driving range in the area.
Winter brings ice to the lake. Ice fishing has become a major sport on Lake Scugog, with as many as 800 fishing huts during the winter season. Snowmobiling has long been a popular sport, with many miles of groomed trails. Lake Scugog provides an excellent surface for snowmobiling, cross country skiing, motorcycle ice racing, para-sailing and skating.
Downhill skiing is near by, there are three public ski clubs offering excellent facilities.
